What are the Botox essentials or basics? Botulinum toxin A is popularly known as Botox. It is a neurotoxin produced by Clostridium botulinum, a bacterium responsible for botulism or food poisoning. The discharge of Acetylcholine or ACTH depends on the types of different proteins such as VAMP syntaxin and SNAP-25, botulinum toxins attaches to these proteins; Botulinum toxin A specifically attaches to SNAP-25.

Principally, botulinum toxins hinder the signals that that tells your muscles to contract. If the toxin attacks your muscles in the chest, you will find it hard to breathe.
